Toshiba Qosmio X75-A7295 Gaming Laptop Review

I have really enjoyed using the Toshiba Qosmio X75-A7295 17.3-Inch gaming laptop. While Toshiba may not be well known for producing high end gaming laptops, they did marvelous job with the X75, which is a powerful eye catching, and affordable gaming notebook.

Hardware and Specs:

This laptop definitely looks good, but the specs of the laptop which really blew me away. This beast comes equipped with a 2.4 GHz Intel core i7 processor, 16 GB of ram, a 1 TB hard drive, and most importantly of all, the NVidia GEForce GTX 770M graphics card.

I was cheerfully surprised by the power of the dedicated graphics card. The GeForce GTX 770M offers some formidable firepower, and quite frankly, is a gaming monster. I found that the Qosmio can handle even the most graphically intense games on the market. Coupled with the quad core Intel core i7 Haswell processor, this thing can and will take anything head on.

Look and Feel:

The modest design of this notebook only adds to its stature as a high end gaming machine. The understated Qosmio emblem located in the lid’s lower right corner accentuates the black widow-style textured aluminum, and really makes the laptop seem sleek and smooth all over. On the interior, the frameless keyboard, accented by the brushed aluminum back plate, only adds to the sleek and smooth trend. The laptop weighs in at around 7.4 pounds, stretching 17.3 inches across. I know it sounds odd to say that 7.4 is relatively small, but compared to some of its competitors, which are upwards of 10 pounds, this weight is not as bad as it seems. Onto the display, the Qosmio X75 sports a dazzling 1920 x 1080p resolution screen. The beautiful display is, in all truth, quite phenomenal, and with razor sharp text and vibrant colors, I feel it will provide an excellent gaming experience.

Keyboard and Track pad:

As a serious gamer, I always am looking for a gaming laptop with a great keyboard and track pad. Toshiba has chosen to outfit the X75 with a frameless aluminum keyboard, something I actually really like about the laptop. It gives the laptop a more prime finish than some of its competitors. The full size keyboard with a number pad is always a nice touch, as are the slick red back lights. The flat, Chiclet keys are responsive and a joy to type on. The X75’s rather large track pad responds well to multi touch gestures, and is especially useful while gaming.

Conclusion: The Toshiba Qosmio X75 really is today’s standard for a beastly gaming rig. Its sleek and simple design, coupled with an amazing keyboard makes this one of the best gaming laptops currently on the market.
